| INFORMATION FOR FIRST TIME HR CRUISERS Normally when you book a group cruise you get all the names together, maybe from a lodge, club or a company, and you call your travel agent and say something like---sign my group up for X number of guests. In my case I had no names. By the way I don't make a nickel on these ham radio cruises. I just like to cruise. My wife has sworn no more cruises. So for me to get on a cruise I had to be clever. Back in mid 2005 I met with Mrs. Ashley King, my favorite cruise agent and worked up a plan for a group cruise. I wanted her to help me and do most of the real work. Amazing thing happened, she said yes. We set up the HRC2006 cruise, she worked for months with the cruise lines getting permissions, and I worked with the foreign country getting licenses. We sold tickets on the fly. We worried the cruise lines would take away our block of rooms before we could sell them. Same this year. So my question is, would you help us contact more hams. Print the flyers off from the link on this page and spread them around. Advertising is a big expense. By the way Ashley doesn't make much either, she takes the expenses out of her salary. Vernon, w4thn HAPPY CRUISING!!! |
